Lead Teacher

25/26 school year

Join us for the 2025/26 school year if you are a Waldorf Teacher or Waldorf Teacher in training seeking a community of dedicated teachers, supportive families, and a flat structure school system.

New Earth Traditions Homeschool Enrichment is seeking an energetic, collaborative, and warm-hearted teacher, knowledgeable and experienced in the ideals of Waldorf education, who would like to join a vibrant and connected homeschool community. We are a group of dedicated faculty and staff committed to providing our students with opportunities for a developmentally nourishing education and dynamic learning while making room for pedagogical flexibility amongst our families.

We seek and individual:

- Who enjoys building healthy relationships with parents, students, and colleagues

- Who has excellent teaching, classroom management, and communication skills

- Who possesses a deep understanding of students, their development, learning styles, and needs.

- Who is self-directed, creative, artistic, collaborative, as well as knowledgeable of and inspired by Waldorf education.

- Who prioritizes personal work, growth, and overall health.

Required Credentials:

Waldorf teacher certification, or Waldorf classroom experience and interest and willingness to participate in self-led learning and guided teacher development training in the Waldorf/Steiner pedagogy. Ability to pass criminal and child abuse background checks. 

Desired Skills and Experience:

Commitment to and experience in working with mixed age (5-7 year old) kindergarten students. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues. Strong and gentle leadership in the classroom. CPR/ First Aid Certified

Hours:

This is a FTE < 0.75 position. The hours of the school day are 8:30a.m.-3:00 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from mid-September 2025 through May 2026, with scheduled holiday breaks throughout. In addition, teachers attend regular staff meetings and development training, as well as some evening and weekend meetings/events. Time commitments also include occasional parent/teacher correspondence. Teachers are responsible for planning and preparing, setting up, and cleaning up planned class activities with the help of a teacher’s assistant.
